Kha Lauk Ta Yar (C) Village Group

Than, Htay, Kyu, Tin and Hla are loan clients from Kha Lauk Ta Yar (C) Village Group, which is located in the Ayeyarwaddy Delta region of Myanmar.

These loan members grow rice and seasonal vegetables as a primary source of income and also raise livestock, such as ducks and pigs, as a means of covering daily expenses and generating savings. This loan will help some to purchase duck feed and ducklings, to boost egg production.

Kyu (first from the right) is married and has two children. A fruit plantation and duck farm are the main sources of Kyu’s family's income. While her husband is taking care of the banana plantation, she looks after the ducks.

This loan will help her to purchase a large amount of duck feed. Duck farming is critical for farmers like Kyu because it provides cash to cover daily expenses while they are waiting for the harvest seasons.
